Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Le Kiosque à Iris located?

Le Kiosque à Iris is located in Notre Dame de Gravenchon, in Seine-Maritime, in the heart of the beautiful Normandy region.

Does Le Kiosque à Iris travel to homes?
Yes, services can be provided at home, upon estimate. (Travel expenses to be added)
How does the photo shoot work?

You choose your eye using a magnifying mirror, then it's time for the photo shoot with your chin resting on the support, similar to a visit to the ophthalmologist. (except for animal irises)

We then choose the montage/effect and finish with the choice of supports (canvases, prints, etc).

I wear contact lenses, is that a problem?
It is preferable to remove them.
Do you sell gift cards?

Yes, you have two options to give a gift card:

  • Come to the Home studio (by appointment), for a nice gift card and its envelope.

  • Online, you will receive your gift voucher by email, to print.

Can I see the result of the photo shoot immediately?
You will be able to see the raw photo live without any retouching or processing.
Is there any danger to my eyes?

No, there are no particular dangers, you may just be a bit dazzled by the flash.

I want to take a photo of the iris of my whole family, do we have to come together on the same day?
You can come separately on different days. Once all the photos are taken, I will create your family montage.
Do you keep our photos for future use?
Yes, the photos are archived and I keep them indefinitely. Thus, you can order prints or montages even long after the photo shoot.
Are my eyes really green?
Green eyes are unique because they do not result from a specific pigment, but from an optical effect. The color "green" does not actually exist. The iris is naturally blue (due to the refraction of light) covered with a layer of yellow or brown melanin. The overlay of these two colors creates the appearance of green. In my photos, the magnification is very significant and you can distinctly see these two shades that make up green eyes.
Do you practice iridology?

No, I do not practice iridology, my photographs have an artistic and decorative purpose only.

Do you photograph animal irises?

Yes, under certain conditions.

Can multiple montages or effects be created?

Yes, one montage/effect is included in your session. An additional fee is required if you want other montages/effects.

Do you provide raw files?
You will receive the processed digital file in JPG format and not printable. This file is usable for your screens and social networks. I do not provide raw files (RAW). The purchase of high-definition digital files is possible.
Do you offer photo sessions at events or tours?
Yes, I regularly participate in events and organize tours for iris photo sessions. Feel free to contact me or follow me on social media to know the upcoming dates.
Can I customize prints or canvases?
Absolutely! You can choose from different support options like acrylic glass or dibond aluminum, as well as various formats to enhance your interior.
